Am I not Farang?

A headless Buddha statue in Ayutthaya, Thailand. 26 dec 1999
I waited for several seconds. The spasmodic movements ceased. The face relaxed, the lids half closed on the eyeballs, leaving only the white of the conjunctiva visible, exactly as in the dying whom we have occasion to see every day in the exercise of our profession, or as in those just dead.

Pain is Good

A nice painted wooden box on a tree in Sierre, Switzerland. 20 mar 2005
There is a point where pleasure and pain intersect. A doorway to a new dimension of sensual euphoria. Where fire both burns and soothes. Where heat engulfs every neuron within you. Once the line is crossed, once the bottle is opened, once it touches your lips, there is no going back. Pain is Good

Is it My Body?

A roadside memorial for Jacqueline Leclercq in the rue Vandervelden in Cuesmes, Mons, Belgium. 07 oct 2002
Jacqueline Leclercq is most probably the fourth victim of the "Trash Bag Killer" or "Dépeceur de Mons", a Belgian Serial Killer who killed at least 5 women. The bodies were cut to pieces and dumped in trash bags along roads with significant names like Chemin de l'Inquiètude, Rue du Dépôt, Chemin de Saint-Symphorien and the river La Hayne. Four feet, three legs, two shoulders, three arms and hands, two upper legs, one torso and one head were recovered, all the rest is still missing.

The Happy Forest Restaurant Girls of Yang Zhen, Shunyi, China. 23 nov 2005
I used this photo to compose my famous placemat. The photo of the girls was taken in the village of Yang Zhen, 60kms north-east of Beijing. The girls all work in the local restaurant "Happy Forest", however, they had never been in Beijing. Thanks to some PhotoShopping I added them to the crowd in a square of the Forbidden City in this photo. I virtually took them to Beijing for the first time in their lives and they are now known as the Happy Forest Girls throughout the whole wide world.
